There is no simpler or healthier way to lose weight fast than with the new and improved cabbage soup recipes diet.
Several safe and effective diet supplements can help you lose weight even faster, although supplements that seem similar may act very differently. Here’s what you need to know about the top six weight loss products, the ones that work, and the ones that don’t.
Cabbage Soup Recipes Diet Supplement #1: Chromium
Nutritional researchers puzzled over the role of chromium in weight loss for over a generation. At first chromium seemed to guarantee quick weight loss, then a series of studies suggested that chromium might even cause weight gain. It turns out that the kind of chromium used in the weight loss supplement makes a critical difference.
The kind of chromium that increases weight loss is the niacin-bound chromium III complex, not the more familiar chromium picolinate. The reason the niacin-bound form of chromium works for weight loss is that it “welds” vitamin E to fat cells, ensuring that the vitamin E and other antioxidants you get on your cabbage soup recipes diet go where they are needed and stay there.
Cabbage Soup Recipes Diet Supplement #2: Vitamin E
That’s why 100 IU of a balanced vitamin E a day may actually help you lose weight. Choose products that contain tocopherols and tocotrienols in addition to the usual alpha-tocopherol, and be sure you also take a daily dose of at least 200 mg of vitamin C. A meta-analysis published in the International Journal of Obesity in September 2009 reviewed 11 studies that taken together showed that taking 300-500 mg of green tea catechins with 50-200 mg caffeine daily will help you keep off 1-3 pounds after going off a diet.
What you need to know, however, is that green tea does not help you lose weight unless you also consume caffeine, and that getting more than 300 mg of caffeine a day from all sources will cancel out the weight loss effect. That means that if you take green tea capsules but drink a lot of regular coffee, or drink a lot of diet sodas, they will not help you lose weight or keep it off.
Green tea phytosomes, however, supercharge weight loss from new cabbage soup recipes diet. Medical researchers publishing in Alternative Medicine Review reported that a “highly bioavailable” green tea phytosome, which chemically binds the green catechins to a carrier that is soluble in the linings of fat cells, improved weight loss from an average of 5 kg (11 lbs) to 14 kg (31 lbs) in 90 days among volunteers for a clinical trial. Green tea phytosomes increased levels of growth hormone and HDL (the “good” form of cholesterol), while they lowered total cholesterol, LDL (“bad” cholesterol), and the fat-and glucose-storage hormone insulin.

Hydroxycitric acid (HCA) is a tropical fruit extract that interacts with genes that encourage the breakdown of the collagen that forms the scaffolding for fat tissue. When fat cells rest in the collagen matrix, they are easily “found” by the circulatory and immune systems. When the collagen around fat breaks down, they are not as easily “fed” fatty acids.
Isolated fat cells do not receive hormonal signals to store fat. They do not multiply. HCA also reacts with a gene that restores the flexibility of the arterial walls that are so often compromised by excessive deposits of fat. This gene action keeps fat cells from feeding on more than their share of the body’s nutrients, and frees up fatty acids for use in the muscles during exercise.
Cabbage Soup Recipes Diet Supplement #5: Orlistat
Orlistat, which is sold under the brand name Alli, is an over the counter diet aid that is only safe if you are on a diet plan similar to the new cabbage soup recipes diet. Orlistat interferes with the absorption of dietary fat, but it also interferes with the absorption of vitamins and phytochemicals that are soluble in fat, such as alpha-carotene, beta-carotene, lutein, lycopene, and zeaxanthin, as well as vitamins A, D, E, and K.
You lose about 3% more weight if you take Alli when you diet. If you are on the cabbage soup recipes diet, you get enough of the fat-soluble micronutrients and vitamins that Alli will not interfere with your general health—but why not just wait a few days longer on the new cabbage soup recipes diet to lose that 3% additional weight?
The thing you need to know about any weight loss supplement is that they aren’t really helpful if you are just trying a 7-day cabbage soup recipes diet for weight loss. The benefits of weight loss supplements usually kick in after you have both stuck to your diet and taken the supplement for at least two to three weeks, preferably longer.
